When I close my eyes I can feel the gentle breeze coming off the Mediterranean and hear the waves crashing against the rugged shoreline. As I walk along the trail, between luscious vineyards, I can feel the ancient earth crush beneath my boots. As a young backpacker I made my way to the Cinque Terre and fell deeply in love with this piece of Italy. Cinque Terre was my absolute favorite part about my trip to Italy! Although we took train and only went to Monterosso I would go back just to see the other villages. I would love to read a follow up blog on your opinions of the different villages if you visited all 5?
